cartoonsWhere did the idea come from that elephants were afraid of mice?
Okay from what I have read its not so much that they are afriad its more to the point that mice sometimes have a habit of going up there trunk and it bothers them.Where did the idea come from that elephants were afraid of mice?
Elephants perceive how close something is to them trough their feet, (vibrations) that's the only reason why.
they are not really scare of mice. they just freak out.
it's cause they cant see them when they run under them i think
I think they are easily startled but not actually afraid of mice in particular.
Same place that the idea came from that women are afraid of spiders.
Someone observed a single individual elephant that freaked out when it saw a mouse. Similarly, someone observed a single individual woman that freaked out when she saw a spider. That someone improperly made a stereotype based on the single observation.
I don't know . Maybe you should test it and see .
the far scale of opposites, extremly large animal vs small rodent.
