If i have a mice problem, will throwing away all my food make them leave?

The only way to get rid of mice is to get a cat.

Some of my friends have mice because they have dogs.

Mice are disgusting. They eat your foods and leave their disgusting droppings everywhere (in my friends' house)

Get a cat. They're wonderful. Cheap, cute, soft, warm, low maintenance and clean and they will teach you a thing or two about taking it easy and relaxing. (and they last 15 to 20 years or more).

I never had a mouse in my house. If i have a mice problem, will throwing away all my food make them leave?
Best bet is to try sealing their entrances with copper wool (they can chew through just about anything else you could stuff in there, including steel wool). If i have a mice problem, will throwing away all my food make them leave?
nope! it won't better make your place clean..
No. Mice look for places to nest and it doesn't necessarily happen to be the place where there is plenty of food.

But I do have a less-nasty solution to catch mice. Put the mouse trap in a brown paper bag. When the mouse is caught, just throw away the bag.
Let a python go in your roof space, that keeps the mice away
No, you will probably have to get an exterminater. They don't just eat your food, they eat other stuff too.
That won't be necessary if you store food in locations not accessible to mice, and clean up any crumbs or food residue lying around on floors, tables, counter tops, stovetop, etc.
No, not throwing away your food will make them go away. Make sure you don't have crumbs and open containers around..Clean the place up, if you haven't already. Get a cat.
Glue traps are the best method to trap rats and mice.
No throwing away your food will not get rid of them you need a good poison and they will not return make sure no other animals can get near the poison as this could be fatal to all animals If you throw your food out you will starve ha ha . good luck
Nope. Clean your home and if you can have a pet CAT that would do the trick. Dispose your excess food properly and dump everything that is not in use.
nope sorry
Heck no, they can live on food as small as a grain of salt. The only way to get rid of them is a professional and even then its hard. But I had a couple cats around if they can smell cats they usually leave.Lotsa luck
I wouldn't throw out your food, maybe store it better!Set traps, and poison under your appliances and furniture!!
Get a couple of cats, that should take care of the problem, cats love mice, but mice hate cats.
Try putting your food in plastic tubs, something thick enough that mice can't chew through it. Make sure your don't have any crumbs or food laying around, including dirty dishes. Set traps under furniture and appliances, that's where mice hide. Making sure that you have all your food cleaned up will leave no other options to the mice except the food in the traps, so if your food is cleaned up the mice will be more likely to get caught in the traps. Get some cats too. Females are better mousers.
nope-you need to store your food in containers that are metal/glass/thick plastic and put it places they have trouble reaching. fill any holed and cracks around your pantrys/cupboards you can. and then place some mouse traps. the snap traps are cruel but they work the best, the glue traps are actually worse because they leave the mice alive, and alot of the humane/no kill traps the mice can actually get back out of.

unless you have a really bad infestation (in which case i would say get a cat) they will be gone in about a week.
Nope, usa an old fashion mouse trap but instead of cheese, use peanut butter.
Making sure they don't have access to any food. Place bread, cereal and the like in the fridge or in a container that they can't break into such as metal. Make sure they can't get to your garbage or any pet food, too. And clean all dishes. But they can survive on crumbs. So, the best thing to do is after you do all this then set traps for them. They will readily go for the bait if they can't find other foods easily. Check the traps daily because nothing smells worse than a dead rodent.
