Can mice and grebils co-exist in the same cage?

I have twin boys -one wants a gerbil the other a mouseCan mice and grebils co-exist in the same cage?
No, they can't live together. Gerbils cannot live with mice or any other species. You'd have to either get 2 (or more) mice for one boy and two gerbils for the other, or get them to agree. The gerbil would likely kill the mouse which is the smaller and more passive of the two.Can mice and grebils co-exist in the same cage?
Absolutely NOT. They are different species and will kill each other in an especially brutal fight which you do NOT want your children to witness. It would be abusive not only to your children but to the animals. If someone were to do this on purpose they should be turned in to childrens' services for mental abuse of a child.

Mice or gerbils can make nice pets and can be tamed. Mice, however, have a strong urine smell so the gerbil may be the pet you would rather have in your house. Just the same, the cage needs to be cleaned out at least once per week with soap and water, dried, and have new shavings of pine or aspen bedding.
My daughter who has had both says it is not a good idea. One species is almost always more aggresive than another.
No, male gerbils really have to be in a cage by themselves. They start fights a lot.
depends on the size of the cage and the food sources. Good thing the boys don't both want mice. Two of the correct genders inthe same cage will overpopulate your facility in about twenty one days...
no idea... but there is one way to find out! lol

jk.
NO!! the gerbils oversized teeth or the hamsters nails.. or whatever like the smell might make them feel like enemies and attack!
