If cats love mice so much why isn't there a mouse flavored cat food?

several people have asked this on here.

No.

because mice taste like chicken! :0P,If cats love mice so much why isn't there a mouse flavored cat food?
The whole cats-loving-mice thing was dramatized by cartoon shows and such. Cats love to play with mice, sure - they can't resist the way a rodent moves - but my cats have never actually eaten one. My brother's cat found mice in the house several times and caught them outside all the time - never once ate one. Once it was dead, he could care less about it. I think the food we provide must taste way better (commercial cat food IS loaded with artificial flavors and their smelliness is enhanced). A stray will eat a mouse because it doesn't have the luxury of being fed, but I don't think house cats really think that highly of it.If cats love mice so much why isn't there a mouse flavored cat food?
I have read that apparently they did at one point attempt to make a mouse flavored cat food, but the tested cats did not care for it; I have no idea if this has any truth behind it, however.
actually, there is mouse cat food.

I believe the reason it is not commercial is it is pretty expensive to raise mice and there is very little product for that expense... there is no money in it.. where as commercial pet foods uses the left over bits that were originally thrown away.. pure profit.
Didnt you ask this question about a month ago?

Eh.. maybe it was someone else..

anyways - they'd have to kill all those mice just to put them in cat food...cats dont eat mice because they taste good - i think its more a thrill of the hunt for them. know what i mean?
Maybe the taste of the meat isn't the same without the hunt or thrill of the chase?
None of my cats have ever eaten or even seen a mouse.....that wasnt stuffed and filled with catnip.
the mouse can be cat food if the cat can catch it!
