if so what are they
a page number would be greatAre there any allusions in of mice and men?
The title is an allusion to Robert Burns' poem ';To A Mouse';:
';The best-laid plans of mice and men/often go awry.';
And it's not a far stretch to imagine George Milton's name being an allusion to John Milton, the poet who wrote the great Christian epic ';Paradise Lost'; - a poem concerned with an idyllic Eden and the reasons that man was expelled from it. You could argue that this is similar to George and Lennie's dream of a quiet homestead, which they were never able to attain.
